The CCC is a venue I get to play at a couple times a year and it is always a good time. On this lovely day, these lids tied the knot on the lawn with the archway to the East, towards the Coronado Bridge. One thing I always enjoy about this place is how they have the projector option complete with a sound system so everyone can hear it.
Greg and Jenny @ Cosmopolitan Hotel
These two had a destination wedding in San Diego and opted for a classic Mexican influenced wedding in the hart of Old Town at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Walking into this place sets you back 200 years. My music selections for the ceremony and cocktails were some classic solo guitar rifts that I found online that really set the mood. Then once open dancing came around, it was all fist pumping and sing a longs.
Justin and Danielle @ Secluded Garden Estate
I knew Justin and Danielle separately so when I found out they were going to get married, I was enthralled with the idea of me being their wedding DJ. Secluded Garden Estate is secluded up in the mountains of Temecula. This place is perfect for a folky type wedding with re-purposed decor.
David and Stacy @ Tom Ham’s Lighthouse
I was so honored to be a party of David and Stacy’s big day as I had been friends with Stact’s family for 20 years. The views form Tam Ham’s are beautiful at the Cermeony as well as in the banquet hall with its large windows looking into San Diego harbor.
Gerald and Kimara @ Hilton San Diego Resort and Spa
Gerald and Kimara was a couple who came from Las Vegas Nevada that wanted to have a fun party for the family but then wanted a high energy after party. What I did was set up my standard reception set up and I took a generational approach to the music, meaning music for all ages, and then had an after party DJ set up with lights in another room. Once the main reception was over, we transitioned to the after party and really cranked it up for the next couple hours. Fun time!
Ashton and Bobby @ The Dana
I have to be honest, I do not remember a thing about this wedding. I really don’t. I can say that it was at The Dana, because it says that in my notes. The Dana’s ceremonies with Mission Bay in the background are so beautiful! I just wish I could write more about this one, but I can’t, haha!
John and Kalyn @ La Jolla Shores Hotel
John said Kalyn gets what she wants. Kalyn said she wants to dance her ass off. Kalyn got what she wanted.
Bryan and Christina @ Green Acres Campus Pointe
I hadn’t heard of this venue because prior to the this wedding, it had never been used for a wedding! From the brain and stomach of Brian Malarkey comes this rustic, reclaimed college campus cafe with a desert landscape, herb garden complete with rattle snakes. You just have to go there to understand what I just wrote.
Ty and Michaela @ Bali Hai
These two East Coast kids met in San Diego and decided to start their life together here by getting married at Bali Hai. I don’t know if it was the beats I was playing or the stiff Mai Tais but they went nuts!
Ben and Annika @ Bird’s Surf Shed
Yet another wonderful locals only event at Bird’s Surf Shed, but this time it was for Bird’s daughter who I have known for 15+ years. They originally got married in Fiji but had to have a little get together for the friends and family back at the shed.
