Jayme is from the family of a couple of my close friends. When I got the call to be the dj for her and her bride, I jumped at the opportunity. Regardless of religion, race, nationality or sexual preference, if you hire me as your DJ, I will represent you musically and guide you through one of the best days of you and your loved one’s lives.
Ben and Marissa @ Grand Tradition
I met Ben back when there was a bar in downtown San Diego called Fleetwood where I would Dj and he would bar tend and manage. As it goes, he moved on in life and met the love of his life Marissa and shot me a call to make his big day memorable and entertaining. The familiar faces of the guests and the beauty of the venue made my job very enjoyable. I am truly fortunate to do what I do.
David and Amber @ Scripps Seaside Forum
I have known Amber for years through multiple mutual fiends in Pacific Beach and from the hotel she works is a queen bee at, the Catamaran. When Amber asked me to be her wedding DJ, the honor of being a DJ for a woman who knows every event DJ in the city was truly humbling. Add that to her getting married at the same venue I got married at, and you have me with a smile on my face.
Larry and Vanessa @ Coronado Community Center
Poor Larry and Vanessa, they hired an acoustic act and then had to fire him because he promised more than he could deliver. He called me in to help out, but once they fired him, I came to the rescue! They had a ceremony on the beach, which beach weddings are nice, but they get to be a hassle for guests if they are long. I believe that the CCC has a very pretty lawn that is ideal for a ceremony. They had a Paella guy come out and serve up the guests before I served the beats.
Jake and Nicole @ Marina Village
These two local kids wanted reggae/beach music for their ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner music and it was my pleasure to make that happen! Their ceremony was on the South lawn and their reception was in the Sunset Room. I am a fan of the boats on the docks outside the venue, I could stare at those all day.
Nathan and Brittany @ The Crossings
I had met Nathan through a group of professional paint ball players in years past and he had seen me at mutiple friend’s weddings. So when it came time for him to marry his number one girl, he reached out to me to make it an evening to remember. The Crossings is gorgeous and every time I do a ceremony there, I take in the deep field view.
Eric and Jennifer @ La Valencia
I love La V. The views are spectacular, the architecture of the building is classic and the staff is wonderful. I have been on the preferred vendors list here for a few years now and I am very thankful to work with these great people. Eric and Jen were looking for some Ratpack for dinner and then some classics for the dance floor and I supplied them.
John and Kelly @ Hilton Spa and Resort
Technically I wasn’t the Dj for this, but I did play a big part in it as my brother-in-law John married the love of his life, Kelly. I had another DJ perform at the event while I kicked back with my in-laws and caught up on life. Actually, I didn’t kick back at all. It rained cats and dogs at this wedding and I had to help scramble the guests indoors as the venue switched the ceremony to an inside hall. Let this be a reminder to any couple getting married that rain can happen at any time, so when picking a venue, factor in the rain contingency plan.
Drew and Whitney @ Coronado Community Center
The CCC is a venue I get to play at a couple times a year and it is always a good time. On this lovely day, these lids tied the knot on the lawn with the archway to the East, towards the Coronado Bridge. One thing I always enjoy about this place is how they have the projector option complete with a sound system so everyone can hear it.
Greg and Jenny @ Cosmopolitan Hotel
These two had a destination wedding in San Diego and opted for a classic Mexican influenced wedding in the hart of Old Town at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Walking into this place sets you back 200 years. My music selections for the ceremony and cocktails were some classic solo guitar rifts that I found online that really set the mood. Then once open dancing came around, it was all fist pumping and sing a longs.
